3.13 Union - Management Committee

3.13.1

  1. In order to build a cooperative relationship between Employers, CEP and the Employees, union-management meetings will be scheduled for each job awarded on the Project. The meetings will serve as a forum for discussion and consultation about policies and practices in effect, and not necessarily covered by the Agreement. The areas for discussion will include but not be limited to the following:

    1. safety programs;

    2. matters that affect the working conditions of the Employees;

    3. training and promotion;

    4. hiring and staffing policies; and

    5. discipline and discharge policies.

  2. Employers and CEP will each appoint representatives to a union-management Committee. Meeting notes will record the business of each meeting, and copies will be made available to all Employees. 

3.13.2
An Employee attending a union-management meeting during his scheduled hours will be entitled to his applicable hourly rate of pay. In the event that such meetings are held outside scheduled hours, Employers agree to pay Employees at their base wage rates for each meeting attended.
