3.12.1 All Employees will receive an amount equal to 4% of
their base wage rate for all
scheduled hours worked in lieu of the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day,
Canada Day, Civic Holiday,
Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas
Day and Boxing Day,
and any further days proclaimed by the Federal or
Provincial Governments.
3.12.2 Employees required to work on one of the above
holidays will receive overtime pay for
all hours worked in addition to the Holiday Pay outlined in
Article 3.12.1. If the Shift
Cycle is such that the regular hours are less than 8 hours
on that holiday the remaining
balance to a total of 8 hours will be paid as overtime the
next day worked. If the holiday
falls on the Employee’s scheduled day off in the Shift
Cycle, 8 regular hours in the next
Shift Cycle will be paid at overtime rates provided the
Employee works all scheduled
hours in that Shift Cycle, unless the Employee provides a
reason relating to acceptable
unforeseen circumstances.
3.12.3 Holiday Pay will be paid to Employees each pay
period.
