Article 20 - Protective Equipment |
|
|
|
|
|
20.01 All employees will wear safety hats to be made available
by the Employer.
20.02 All employees will wear safety shoes where required,
furnished by the employee.
20.03 The Employer will furnish employees with safety
equipment (including gloves,
safety glasses and fire retardant coveralls if required)
and rain gear if and when
required. Said equipment will remain the property of the
Employer. Any worn out
safety equipment will be replaced upon presentation of the
worn equipment. The
employees will be held responsible for loss or improper
maintenance of Employer
furnished items. The Employer will provide for the cleaning
of the fire retardant
coveralls.
20.04 Prescription Safety Eyewear
The Employer agrees to reimburse any employee 50 percent
(50%) of the cost of
prescription safety glasses (contact lenses are not
eligible) up to $200.00
according to the following criteria:
- The employee must provide a copy of the prescription and
receipt for the
glasses.
- The employee must have worked 1200 hours with the
Employer for the first
reimbursement.
- For any subsequent reimbursement the employee must have
worked an
additional 4000 hours from the last time reimbursed.
