Article 16 - Health and Welfare Funds |

|
16.01 The Employer will pay the amount as set out in
Schedule A for all scheduled hours worked for each Employee
towards the Union’s Health and Welfare Fund. No amount of
these payments will be deducted from an employee’s wages.
The total amount will be remitted to the Union 15 days
following every 2nd pay cycle together with an itemized list
of the employees for whom the remittances are made and the
amount remitted for each.
16.02 It is the responsibility of each employee to be
familiar with the specific details of coverage and eligibility
requirements of all benefit plans, and neither the Union nor
the Employer have any responsibility for ensuring that all
requirements for eligibility or conditions of coverage or
entitlement of benefits are met by the employee, beyond the
obligations specifically stipulated in this Agreement.
