Article 12 - Holidays & Holiday Pay |

|
|
12.01 Employees will be entitled to receive an amount
equal to six (6%) percent of their regular earnings in lieu of
the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Heritage Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday,
Victoria Day, Canada Day, Friday before BC Day, BC Holiday,
Friday before Labour Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day,
Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
12.02 Employees required to work on one of the above
holidays will receive overtime pay at time and a half for all
hours worked in addition to the holiday pay outlined in
Article 12.01. Employees retain the right to refuse
employment, scheduled or unscheduled, on the Statutory
Holidays named in Article 12.01 without penalty.
12.03 Holiday Pay will be paid to employees on each
paycheque.
